Breaking Down The Highlights: ERB March "Title" Madness Round One Review

Here is your official Round One review of ERB March "Title" Madness.

In the first bracket, we had The Chessmen of Mars facing off against the clear longshot, Out of Time's Abyss. Chessmen dominated and cruised to the Elite 8 without issues.

Our second bracket had The Warlord of Mars up against Tarzan at the Earth's Core. Two extremely strong titles. This race stayed close, but Tarzan pulled out ahead for a good finish. The real contest in Round One was between Pirates of Venus and

The People That Time Forgot. These two lightweight titles found themselves in a real battle for dominance among the fan base. They stayed tied right up until the end when People scored a single vote to win the bracket.

A Fighting Man of Mars easily defeated The Land of Hidden Men with an impressive number of votes that assured its place in the Elite 8. The final brackets had clear winners, but not overly decisive wins.

Tarzan of the Apes slipped past The Gods of Mars, A Princess of Mars just did beat out Tarzan the Untamed, The Land That Time Forgot managed to kick ahead of Pellucidar, and At the Earth's Core won its battle against a powerhouse title, The Master Mind of Mars.

Now, Round 2 is already underway and all Burroughs fans are invited to vote. The matchups are absolutely exciting and feature some of the greatest titles in the ERB Universe. I'm particularly excited about the teeter-totter of decision-making that one of the brackets promises! Here are the Elite 8 Battles that we can all look forward to:

- The Chessmen of Mars vs. Tarzan at the Earth's Core

- The People That Time Forgot vs. A Fighting Man of Mars

- Tarzan of the Apes vs. A Princess of Mars

- The Land That Time Forgot vs. At The Earth's Core

It's going to be a tough choice, but I can't wait to see who comes out on top in the end!

PS: For those who may be wondering how the computer picks fared against ERB Fandom in Round 1? The computer only got three out of eight right: Tarzan at the Earth's Core, A Fighting Man of Mars, and Tarzan of the Apes.
